The histological distribution of the Antigen to PHA in man as disclosed by Specific red cell adherence test

Abstract
The present communication describes the histological investigation by specific red cell adherence (SRCA) test of the distribution of antigens to some Korea native PHA such as phaseolus vulgalis (PV), Alisma plantago(AP) and Clerodendron trichotomum(Cl) in various human tissues and compared with the histological distribution of ABH antigen in man. The nature of distribution of the Cl antigen is almost same as ABH antigen¢¥s and can be summarized under the following heading:
Cells of endothelium; present throughout the cardiovascular system, intima of blood vessles,
endocardium, sinusoids of spleen and liver.
Cells of stratified epithelia; in skin, uterine cervix, esophagus, tongue.
Pseudo stratified columnar epithelia; bronchus
Transitional epithelia; urinary tract.
Mucus secreting apparatus;
Stomach; surface of epithelium, gastric pits, pyloric gland,
Small intestine; goblet cells of villi, crypts of lieberkuhn.
Large intestine; goblet cells of surface, epithelium and crypts.
Salivary gland; mucus acini.
Gall bladder and uterine cervix; tall columnar mucus secreting epithelium.
Other secretion and excretion organs;
Pancreas; acinar cells
Kidney; collecting tubules in medulla
Sweat gland; gland cells
Endometrium; gland epithelial cells
It was failed to demonstrate of antigen to VP and AP in various human tissues.
